For the NSHSS we conducted the 2022 Career Interest Survey of 11,495 Gen Z students from across the US to better understand their feelings on career choices, higher education, and travel. The study found that a majority of students (70%) want to travel outside the country, despite ongoing geopolitical conflicts. 44% of respondents expect their employers to help pay for their college tuitions, and 63% expect their employer to offer in-person training and education. Students plan on starting their professional life with an internship, with 82% stating they would prefer to begin in such a manner.
