We conducted a survey of 1016 US adults from November 3-6 for Boxed Water™, to better understand the mindset today’s adults have towards recycling. Respondents were largely concerned over the use of single use plastic, with 82% expressing worry over the environmental impact. The most active age group in recycling were Baby Boomers, 67% of whom always or often recycle, with the least likely to recycle being Gen Z, at 44%. The most common reason for not recycling cited was lack of confidence in proper disposal methods (43%), with lack of convenience following up at 33%.
