For Motorola Solutions we asked 1,322 full- and part- time U.S. retail employees the steps that retailers can take to improve the security of employees and consumers for the coming holiday season. The U.S. Retail Worker Safety Report was conducted in September 2024, and found that 74% of retail workers ordinarily feel safe at work, but far less (57%) feel the same way around peak shopping season. Furthermore, 67% of respondents expect their stores to be short-staffed during the holiday rush.
