The first part of our Future of Fulfillment Report for Blue Yonder found that e-commerce revenue has increased by 33% in the past year, with this sudden shift causing some growing pains as retailers struggle to meet the surge in demand. This shift comes as no surprise as people look to digital storefronts as a safer alternative to in-person shopping.
The survey was conducted in October 2020 on 300 senior executives across retail and e-commerce in the US. Another key finding was that 71% of executives expanded their logistic networks to meet increased demand.
