Our survey for Blue Yonder was featured on SDC Executive, which noted that “e-commerce revenue as a percentage of total revenue increase by 33% and 27% of retailers added fulfillment centers to meet this shift.” This survey was conducted in October 2020, with 300 senior executives in the retail and e-commerce fields taking part.

Another surprising statistic showed that over a quarter of retailers increased the number of fulfillment centers in order to meet higher demand from digital shoppers. Roughly three quarters of those surveyed expanded their logistics networks to better respond to the higher demand for e-commerce.
