The second installment of our survey for Blue Yonder was just released and contains insights into the future of retail and e-commerce. The survey, conducted in October 2020, used feedback from 300 senior executives with experience in a range of retail fields located in the US. The majority of those surveyed sought to prioritize increasing the existing capacity (43%) and productivity (42%) of supply chains over the course of the next 12 months.
Also of note was that 48% of executives want to improve pricing and promotion, in order to ensure profitability from market launch until markdown, with another majority seeking improvement in the picking processes (39%) and reduction of warehouse costs (38%).
